Notes

'Festival' peony (Paeonia 'Festival') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Pale creamy yellow flowers edged and flushed with rose open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1941.

Pairs well with Balloon flower, Dancing Queen hosta, Mock orange, and Stargazer lily.
