Notes

'Field Marshall' peony (Paeonia 'Field Marshall') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 30 inches tall with sturdy upright stems and fragrant single red blooms that attract butterflies and bees. William Henry Krekler bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
