Notes

'Filigree' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Filigree') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is a Japanese type with large, rose-pink staminodes edged with straw color. The staminodes are so full that they almost cover the petals. This tall, vigorous plant blooms early.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
