Notes
'Filocolo' peony (Paeonia 'Filocolo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its fragrant flowers open bright crimson-scarlet, and bees and butterflies visit them. Julian L. Janus bred this hybrid from Laddie.
Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Stella de Oro daylily, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
