Notes

'Fine Wine' weigela (Weigela Florida 'Fine Wine') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It has an arching habit and grows at a moderate rate. Flowers appear in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Christmas fern, and Stargazer lily.
