Notes

'Firelight' peony (Paeonia 'Firelight') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its huge, flat, semi-double blooms are fragrant and bright pink with darker flares, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Clustered bellflower, and Blue grama.
