Notes
'Firestarter' montbretia (Crocosmia 'Firestarter') is a bulb for cut flowers and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Yellow blooms with orange-red edges and central stripes open from early to late summer, and bees visit them. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The clumps multiply each year.
Pairs well with Fountain grass, Yellow iris, and Blue Chiffon rose of sharon.
