Notes

'First Snow' heath aster (Symphyotrichum ericoides 'First Snow') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies visit the flowers, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Knotweed.
