Notes

'Golden Spray' heath aster (Symphyotrichum ericoides 'Golden Spray') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, meadows, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the plant is drought tolerant. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Its erect stems carry blooms in autumn.

Pairs well with Blanket flower, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Paprika yarrow.
