Notes

'Flame Purple' garden phlox (Phlox paniculata 'Flame Purple') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It forms a clumping mound 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Plum Royale coral bells, Dense blazing star, and Stella de Oro daylily.
