Notes

'Flare' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Flare') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are a brilliant, flaming red, so they stand out in a border and make bold bouquets. Arthur L. Murawska bred it in 1943.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Immortality iris, Cinnamon fern, and Rose.
