Notes

'Fleuri' clematis (Clematis 'Fleuri') is a vine for containers, borders, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its ruffled violet-purple flowers have darker ribs and lavender stamens, and they repeat from late spring to late summer. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Bobo hydrangea, and Christmas fern.
