Notes

'Florence Ellis' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Florence Ellis') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears large, fragrant, clear pink flowers with wide petals in a rose shape. The blooms open from mid to late spring into early summer on tall, strong stems. Nicholls bred it from Marie Crousse and Lady Alexandra Duff.

Pairs well with Dalmatian bellflower, Spanish bluebell, Sensitive fern, and Blue sage.
