Notes
'FLOREUPRE1' Joe Pye weed (Eutrochium purpureum 'FLOREUPRE1') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It forms a clump and draws butterflies, bees, and birds. It blooms from early to late summer.
Pairs well with Culver’s root, Little bluestem, Obedient plant, and Black-eyed Susan.
