'Little Red' Joe Pye weed (Eutrochium purpureum 'Little Red') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clumping mound and blooms from early to late summer.
