Notes

'Flower Chest' peony (Paeonia 'Flower Chest') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Rose-pink flowers open in early to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the blooms, and Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Paperbark maple, and Niobe clematis.
