Notes

'Flying Dutchman' tulip (Tulipa 'Flying Dutchman') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The flowers open early to late spring on stems about 24 inches tall. Each bloom is currant red outside and blood red inside, with a blue base, white edges, and black anthers. Warnaar & Co. bred it.

Pairs well with Bridal Crown daffodil, Cytherea peony, Russell lupine, and Ernest Markham clematis.
