Notes
'Foaming Wave' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Foaming Wave') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large carmine-pink flowers open in mid to late spring and sit well above the foliage. The plant spreads, so give it room. Peony Gardens of George Hollis introduced it in 1909.
Pairs well with Nepeta, Miss Kim lilac, and Royal fern.
