'Fragrans' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Fragrans') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Cut the blooms for bouquets, or let them stand as the star of a mixed border.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Switchgrass, and Stargazer lily.
