Notes
'Frances Herndon' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Frances Herndon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are deep pink and make a bold show in the garden. Cut stems bring that color indoors. Pfeiffer Nursery bred it.
Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Charles Joly lilac, Sensitive fern, and Carlton daffodil.
