Notes
'Fred W. Pratt' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Fred W. Pratt') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers have pure white outer petals and yellow inner petals overcast with white. The center is anemone style, and the yellow is deeper at the base of the petals. It blooms earlier than Primevere, which it resembles.
Pairs well with Brown-eyed Susan, Sedge, Shrub rose, and Ostrich fern.
