Notes

'Freedom' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Freedom') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double blooms are a bright rose, a shade the source calls Tyrian-rose. Cut a few stems for a vase and enjoy the full, ruffled flowers indoors. Kelway bred it.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Sensitive fern, and Carlton daffodil.
