Notes

'Freia' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Freia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Freia opens blush pink and may fade to white, and the fragrant flowers appear in mid to late spring. Each stem carries two to three blooms, and the plant stands upright without staking. Dr. Bernard Chow bred it.

Pairs well with Common snowdrop, Black Hero tulip, and Sedge.
