Notes
Fritillary (Fritillaria verticillata) is a perennial for borders and containers, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late spring and attracts bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Large white flowers carry faint green veins.
Pairs well with Jacob’s ladder, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Wood sorrel.
