Notes
'Fu Zhao Fen Lan' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Fu Zhao Fen Lan') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi-double flowers are light purple, reach 6 inches across, and fade lighter with age. Dark purple-red flares mark the base of each petal, and the blooms have a soft fragrance. The upright, slightly spreading plant grows to 26 inches tall.
Pairs well with Arabella clematis, Blue fescue, and Cinnamon fern.
