Notes
'Fuyajo' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Fuyajo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type blooms in midseason with dark crimson petals around a center of old-rose petaloids tipped in cream. The blooms are slightly fragrant, and strong stems hold them up well.
Pairs well with Columbine, Sedge, Sensitive fern, and Grape hyacinth.
