Notes

'Garnet' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Garnet') is a columnar tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. It is grown for eating fresh. Blooms open in early to late spring and draw butterflies and bees. This tree is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for fruit.

Pairs well with Strawberry Sundae panicle hydrangea, Mount Hood daffodil, and Gro-Low fragrant sumac.
