Notes

'Gay Party' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gay Party') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The big double blooms are baby pink with a lavender tint. They make good cut flowers. William Henry Krekler bred it, and Charles Klehm and Son Nursery introduced it in 1977.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Fire and Ice hosta, and Switchgrass.
