Notes
'Gayborder June' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gayborder June') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double flowers are fuchsine rose and measure 10 to 12 inches across. They open early, which makes them a fine choice for cutting. Hoogendoorn bred it.
Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Japanese spirea, and Spanish bluebell.
