Notes

'Geisha Girl' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Geisha Girl') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type flowers are a rich rose pink with heavy, ribbon-like petalodes. Strong, wiry stems hold the blooms, and the plant flowers freely in mid season. Gilbert S. Richmond bred it.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Fire and Ice hosta, and Black Hero tulip.
