Notes

'Gemina' peony (Paeonia 'Gemina') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Red, star-shaped single flowers open early and attract butterflies and bees. The upright plants reach about 30 inches and need no support. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Maiden pink, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
