Notes

'Gene Wild' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gene Wild') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, full double flowers open medium pink over white in mid to late spring and age to lighter pink. Good stems hold the blooms well, and they last long in a vase. Dr. Herbert C. Cooper bred it.

Pairs well with Tiger lily, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, and Carnation.
