Notes

'Gerald Darby' blue flag iris (Iris robusta 'Gerald Darby') is a perennial for borders, rain gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and blooms in spring and again in summer. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plant it near a pond edge or wet spot.

Pairs well with Candelabra primrose, Aurea tufted sedge, and Ostrich fern.
