Notes

'Gertrude Cox' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gertrude Cox') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, light pink double blooms open in late spring to early summer and the color does not fade. Side buds open before the top bud. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
