Notes

'Gigi' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gigi') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep pink anemone flowers open in early to mid spring, and the centers lighten with age. Thin wiry stems hold the blooms without support. Seidl introduced it in 1989.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Monkshood, and Black Hero tulip.
