Notes

'Gismonda' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gismonda') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double flowers are pale creamy pink with a rose-pink center and a strong rose-like fragrance. Strong stems hold the blooms upright in late spring and early summer. François-Félix Crousse bred it.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Stargazer lily, Blue sage, and Garlic chives.
