Notes
'Gleam' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gleam') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are double, which gives each bloom many petals. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it. You can cut the blooms for bouquets and give the plants room to grow.
Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Little bluestem, and Garlic chives.
