Notes

'Glowing Candles' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Glowing Candles') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, pale pink flowers are a Japanese type with petaloids coming through a chamois center. The 6 inch blooms sit on extra good stems, and many side buds add more flowers. Gilbert H. Wild & Son bred it in 1966.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Sensitive fern, and Carlton daffodil.
