Notes

'Gold Seal' peony (Paeonia 'Gold Seal') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Light yellow blooms with red flares open from early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Blue-eyed grass, and Mock orange.
