Notes

'Gold Sovereign' peony (Paeonia 'Gold Sovereign') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its butter-yellow, semi-double blooms have small, dark red flares and open in early to late spring. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Blue star, Mock orange, and Grape hyacinth.
