Notes

'Gold Strike' sedge (Carex oshimensis 'Gold Strike') is a grass for borders, containers, rock gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It forms a low, clumping mound and stays green through winter. Brownish flowers appear in spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Autumn fern, Inkberry, and Blue-eyed grass.
