Notes

'Golden Cross' clematis (Clematis 'Golden Cross') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It is evergreen and grows 60 to 72 inches tall, and yellow blooms attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Give it a trellis or other support to climb.

Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Switchgrass, and Obsidian coral bells.
