Notes

'Golden Delicious' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Delicious') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Double yellow flowers with light pink shading open late in the season, and many side buds stretch the bloom time to about 2½ weeks. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Bees and butterflies visit the mildly fragrant blooms.

Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Sedge, and Black Parrot tulip.
