Notes
'Golden Dolphin' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Dolphin') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant Japanese type flowers are clear rose-pink with a golden center of twisted, crinkled staminodes. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and Julian L. Janus bred it.
Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Nodding onion, Paprika yarrow, and Polish Spirit clematis.
