Notes

'Golden Experience' peony (Paeonia 'Golden Experience') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The open, airy semi-double flowers appear in early to late spring and have yellow petals with deep red bases. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies visit the blooms on this tall, erect plant.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Lily, and Weigela.
