Notes

'Golden Light' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Golden Light') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. White Japanese-type flowers open in late spring to early summer. Notched petals fall away and leave a large cushion of staminodes, which do not turn black in rainy weather. Arthur L. Murawska bred it.

Pairs well with Smooth hydrangea, Sensitive fern, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
