Notes

'Golden Ruby' salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis 'Golden Ruby') is a shrub for pollinator gardens, shade gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil. It grows in an arching form that reaches 4 to 8 feet tall and 3 to 6 feet wide. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and it attracts bees and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Oakleaf hydrangea, Foam flower, Japanese forest grass, and Sedge.
