Notes

'Goldflame' Japanese meadowsweet (Spiraea japonica 'Goldflame') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows fast into a dense mound about 3 to 4 feet tall and wide. Rose pink flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Bowl of Cream peony, and Jersey tea.
