Notes

'Golly' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Golly') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Light yellow, fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Globemaster allium, and Purple cranesbill.
