Notes

'Gordon E. Simonson' peony (Paeonia 'Gordon E. Simonson') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi double to double pink flowers have a lavender cast at the center around a golden ring of stamens. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
